What brought her to Ibbenbüren? She died in the same year in which Erika Faßbender was born. Father: Anton Wirtgen (one document gives his name first as Wirtchen [= little innkeeper] and in brackets as Wirtgen) Mother: Maria Katharina Reifenhäuser (One document spells her second name as Catharina. This is presumably the Latinised spelling used by priests. Thus a 'Peter' is documented as 'Petrus', etc.) She married Christian Faßbender, 1808-1880, in 1855. Links
