Klaus Bung's (1935-...) parents

Mother: Felicitas Sophia Erika Bung, née Faßbender (called Erika Felicitas Bung and Erika Bung), born 23 April 1911 in Mariendorf, Kreis Teltow (Teltow district, near Berlin), Roman Catholic.  Died on 25 Jan 1994 in Bonn-Bad-Godesberg, Burgstraße 156, aged 82.

Father: Hubertus Bung, born 11 Jan 1908 in Essen (Ruhr), Roman Catholic.  Described on marriage certificates as (Gerichtsreferendar [lawyer in his probation year], resident in Berlin-Südende, Mittelstraße 8-9.  Died 14 May 1981 in Bonn, Johanniter-Krankenhaus (hospital), aged 73.

Marriage: 13 April 1933.  Spouse described as: Felicitas Sophia Erika Faßbender, resident in Berlin-Südende, Mittelstraße 8-9.

Marriage certificate: Klaus Bung has two such certificates, one called "Trauschein" issued by the church and one called "Heiratsschein" issued by the Standesamt Lankwitz (registry office) on 13 April 1933.  The Trauschein, dated 19 April 1933, lists the parents and addresses of the bride and bridegroom.  Hubertus Bung, son of Rektor Wilhelm Bung in Essen, Roman Catholic, and of Emma Bung, née Immoor, Roman Catholic.  Rector is the headmaster of a primary school, Essen an industrial city in the Ruhr district of Germany.  Erika Faßbender, Roman Catholic, daughter of Professor Dr. Martin Faßbender, Roman Catholic, resident in Berlin-Südende, Mittelstraße 8-9, and of Paula Faßbender, ROMAN CATHOLIC, née Hantelmann.  The religious ceremony took place in the St Johanneskirche (Evangelist) (St John Evangelist) in Berlin-Südende, signed by Pfarrer Hinz (the vicar, still mentioned in family conversations many years afterwards; Klaus Bung still somehow remembers his name as having been mentioned with affection.)  The Mittelstraße address in Südende, then, must have been the residence of the bride's parents.  Klaus Bung does not remember ever having lived there, even though he was probably born in that house.  Fritz Schmid, Klaus Bung's cousin, was also born there.
